Projects undertaken by Damor Engineering Ltd include the following :
- Design verification by finite element methods of a J-tube bellmouth cable entrance for an offshore platform installation.

- FEA of two pulling / laydown heads for a subsea piping installation project.

- Supply of two further hydraulically-operated wet connector tools for the remote mating of an umbilical connector during a subsea installation project

- Input into a due-diligence exercise for a proposed new-build aluminium smelter in Europe, on behalf of potential project financiers
- Survey, design of modifications and finite element analyses of the deck structures of a cable-laying ship, under loading conditions which exceed the original vessel design criteria
- Design verification by FEA of four CL2500 rapid-opening pipeline closures, in sizes 20”, 22”, 26” and 28”, to the requirements of ASME VIII.





- Design verification by FEA of a series of bespoke high-pressure pipe flanges, to the requirements of ISO 13623

- Structural design verification calculations for a process skid mounting frame, including environmental, operating and lifting conditions.
- Structural assessment of the redesigned Vent Tower fitted to the foredeck of a new-build FSO vessel.


- Complete design and analysis of four elevated support platforms, for mounting of six process skids on a newbuild FSO vessel.






- Finite element code assessment, to the requirements of ASME B31.3, for specialist 24” equal and reducing pipe tees.

- Structural assessment of the Mast Tower fitted to the foredeck of a new-build FSO vessel, to carry the vent pipework from the cargo holds.
- Finite element assessment of the pedestal for a 400 tonne-metre deck crane to be mounted on a new-build FSO vessel, including a half-model of the midships section of the ship.
- Finite element calculations to determine the maximum deflections of a series of fourteen pig launching / receiving vessels, (i) under their self-weight, (ii) when filled with water and (iii) when loaded with pig trains.
- Structural design verification calculations for three process skid mounting frames, including operating and lifting conditions.
- Preliminary design of large mesh screens for the loading hoppers of an ore-carrying vessel, to trap tramp and oversized materials to prevent damage to the belt conveying system.
- Structural design verification of a wheeled support frame for an extension to a pig receiving vessel, including lifting calculations
- Design verification of support saddles for use during transportation of a series of long horizontal pressure vessels.
- Finite element analysis of a pipeline swivel assembly to ensure code-compliance, including verification of the swivel slewing bearing assembly.
- Provision of technical and commercial expertise to an international engineering contractor, to support their bid for a Detailed Feasibility Study to construct new process facilities to an existing aluminium smelter complex in the middle-east.
- Finite element analyses of a series of four high-pressure end closures for piping pigging systems, in sizes from 10” to 36”, to ensure compliance to the ASME VIII pressure vessel design code.
- Provision of technical & commercial expertise to an international EPCM contractor for the construction of a greenfield aluminium smelter project in South Africa.
- Finite element assessment of a bulkhead forging within a pressurised piping system.
- Detailed manufacturing drawings, plus pressure calculations to Australian Codes, for three pig launchers / receivers, for use on a major project in New Zealand.
- Re-assessment of a high-alloy forged tee fitting, to incorporate the effects of mechanical loads and moments arsising from the connected pipework.
- Provision of technical & commercial expertise to an EPC project for the construction of new aluminium smelting facilities in the middle-east.
- Detailed finite element assessments of the upper and lower bodies of a pipeline swivel assembly, used to transfer both oil and gas through a rotating connection.


- Pressure calculations and weight analyses for four pipeline commissioning heads, to be used during the installation of a new gas pipeline in the Mediterranean Sea.
- Our Consultants formed part of a team that made a visit to an aluminium smelter in Scandinavia, to carry out a comprehensive technical audit and asset appraisal on behalf of an international mineral and metals producer.
- Pressure calculations to ASME B31.8 and weight analyses for a series of six skid-mounted pig launchers / receivers, for use on a major new international gas exploitation project.
- Design and build of two hydraulically-operated tools for remote mating of a subsea cable connection
- Site visits to undertake technical audits and asset appraisals of seven metallurgical plants within Russia
- FEA of a hold-back clamp designed to restrain a subsea umbilical hose during its deployment over the stern of the pipelay vessel

- Design, detail and analysis of a headframe for a conveyor discharge chute used to handle dry bulk materials
- FEA of a forged Tee fitting, manufactured from a special alloy material and operating at high temperature and pressure

- Provision of technical & commercial expertise to a pre-feasibility study for the construction of a new aluminium smelter in North Africa
- FEA of a universal joint body, to determine its maximum tensile load capability
- Provision of technical and commercial expertise to a ‘bankability’ review of a Detailed Feasibility Study for the expansion of an alumina refinery in Africa
- Design verification works of the structural steelwork for four offshore process skid units
- Provision of technical and commercial expertise to a Detailed Feasibility Study for the expansion of an aluminium smelter in Europe
- Design of a test-rig for load testing of subsea riser latch mechanisms
- Calculations for two pipeline pig launchers and receivers, in accordance with the code requirements of ASME B31.8
- FEA of a series of link arms to be used as safety restraints during maintenance operations on an FPSO vessel
- Design of a lightweight aluminium subframe assembly for mounting on an ROV, incorporating polymer guide rollers and a pipe tracking device
- Design of a mobile tool for re-bundling and binding of the individual elements of a stripped subsea umbilical cable
- Design of a series of mounting frames to accommodate replacement submersible HV electric motors, for fitting to three seabed tractors
- Design of support frames for jetting & dredging pumpsets, to suit a new design of submersible electric motor, for fitting on a series of three subsea trenching vehicles
- Overseeing design and construction activities at a major specialist equipment vendor in mainland Europe, on behalf of an international metallurgical project
